May's Events!

Living Smart - a 6 week program beginning May 5th.. This is aimed at parents with school age children who want to improve their lives through nutrition and budgeting tips and educating them on how to eat smart and healthy.

Murder Mystery Dinner - "Murder @ Maple Mount Ski Resort" coming up Saturday, May 7th has been SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and for those who didn't make it in time, hope to see you at our next mystery dinner!

YARD SALE - Coming May 20-21. We are looking for donated items in good condition. We will gladly accept furniture, clothes, toys, glassware, electronic gadgets...just about anything as long as its in good condition. Donations may be dropped off at the library any time during our open hours of operation.

Living Healthy- coming May 20th from 1:30-4. This class will meet for six weeks presenting a program for people with chronic ailments such as fatigue, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, etc. It will show you where to get the support you need, ways to deal with the pain and fatigue, and understand new treatment choices along with choosing better exercise and nutrition options.

Program Cancellation

We regret to announce that our upcoming program with Robert Peterson, a WWII veteran and Prisoner of War, scheduled for April 30th has been cancelled. Mr. Peterson passed away unexpectedly last week.

You Won't Believe What's Going On In April!


The Ripley Free Library is bursting at the seams this month!

Tickets for a new Murder Mystery Dinner, "Murder at the Maplemount Ski Resort", are on sale now at $15.00 per person, at the library. That price includes a full course meal and an evening of entertainment. The mystery will take place on May 7th at the First Baptist Church in Ripley. This event has always sold out so get your tickets now!

Local Author Elizabeth Way will be here on April 16 from noon -2 p.m., for her program, The Wayward Tales, followed by a book signing of her new book, "And I Will Love You From Heaven". You won't want to miss this!

Robert Peterson, a WWII Prisoner of War, will be here on April 30th at Noon to speak of his experiences as a POW. Learn firsthand what it was like to live in such a troubling time. A question and answer period will follow.
